A journey into the dream that is already dreaming you.
Eight days of Shipibo Ayahuasca, dreamwork, mythology, and Dharma held by ancestral Shipibo healers and Erick Godsey, cultivating a deeper relationship with the dreaming intelligence within.
DREAMWALKERS
December 1 - 8, 2026
Southern costa rica
What if your deepest teacher is already within you?
We spend so much of our lives looking outside ourselves for answers… in teachers, systems, relationships, and even the medicine itself. But what if there is another intelligence already speaking through you?
Your dreaming mind reveals perspectives your waking consciousness cannot always access. Within the Shipibo tradition, the medicine offers profoundly individual teachings through our dreamspace. As the body rests and the psyche is cleansed, the ancient intelligence of plant consciousness enters the dream space to teach, speaking through symbols, visions, and felt knowing, and revealing what the waking mind cannot always see. Here, the dream becomes another doorway into the medicine. A living language through which we can listen, learn, and become more conscious authors of our destiny - transforming the stories that shape our lives and bringing our vision into form.
Dreamwalkers brings these two worlds together, allowing the medicine and your dreaming intelligence to illuminate one another, and inviting you into a deeper relationship with the story of your life.
Guided by Erick Godsey & Anam Cara Retreats
The Dream as a Teacher…
What if you stopped asking someone else what your dream means, and started listening to the dreamer within you?
In Dreamwalkers, we don’t approach dreams as puzzles to be solved or symbols with fixed meanings. We learn to enter into relationship with the dreaming intelligence within.
Through Erick’s life-long body of work with mythology, psychology, archetypes, and Dharma, alongside the profound wisdom of Shipibo medicine tradition, we explore the dream as a living language. One that can reveal what is moving beneath the surface of waking consciousness.
What is my psyche trying to show me?
What becomes possible when I see my story differently?
The Dream Dieta
Learning to listen to the plants…
Within the Shipibo tradition, healing is not simply something that happens to us through ceremony. It is a relationship with the plants, a way of learning to listen to their intelligence, teachings, and language.
Through dieta, the body and psyche are prepared to become more receptive. As we rest, cleanse, and turn inward, the relationship with the medicine deepens and the teachings continue long after ceremony, moving into the dream space.
The dreams become part of the dieta.
The plant wisdom may appear as an animal, landscape, sensation, symbol or forms of tests that carry important messages for our work with ayahuasca. Some dreams challenge us, others reveal deeply hidden parts, and others offer specific tests to hone our willpower, devotion, and clarity.
This is one of the profound distinctions of the Shipibo approach: the medicine is not only encountered during ceremony, but opens up an unfolding relationship of plant allyship and earth wisdom that weaves itself into the fabric of our lives. The plants become teachers, the dreams become another language, and the relationship deepens as we learn to listen.
The deeper invitation is to become conscious of the story we are living. The dreams, the medicine, the myths and symbols that emerge can begin to show us the unconscious patterns shaping our choices, desires, relationships, and sense of what is possible. And when we can see the story more clearly, we are no longer only being carried by it. We begin to have a choice in how the story unfolds.
This is where the medicine and the dreamwork meet. It is not simply in understanding ourselves more deeply, but in becoming more conscious authors of our lives, reclaiming the parts of ourselves that have been forgotten, and bringing what is waiting to emerge into form.
The Shipibo maestros hold the ceremonial container and lineage work while the dream world gives us another language through which our psyche can speak through.
Rather than looking outside ourselves for someone or something to hand us the answers we seek, this journey asks us, what happens when we begin listening to the divine intelligence already moving through us?
Your Dream Journey Includes
A 6-Week Devotional Container
In the weeks leading up to Dream Walkers, we gather with Erick for two live group calls designed to begin the dreamwork before we ever arrive.
Together, we’ll begin exploring the language of dreams, the stories and myths shaping our lives, and the questions each person is carrying into the journey. You’ll have space to share what is already emerging, begin paying closer attention to your dreams, and enter Costa Rica with a deeper relationship to the inner world you’re about to explore.
You’ll also receive a private 1:1 session to explore your personal intentions and prepare for the retreat with your facilitators.
By the time we arrive, the journey has already begun.
Ancestral Shipibo Medicine & Ceremony
Held by your Anam Cara family of Shipibo maestros and maestras — renowned healers and lineage carriers who bring decades of Amazonian healing and devotion.
You will be held through ceremonies that:
illuminate and bring awareness to ancestral patterns
deepen your relationship with the medicine and its teachings
open new pathways of perception and inner listening
reveal what is ready to be seen, released, or understood
cultivate a deeper relationship with ancient plant wisdom
In addition to our ceremonial work, you’ll receive healing plant baths, traditional herbal steams, and cleansing rituals that support your journey within the Shipibo medicine tradition.
Dreamwork, Myth & the Psyche
Guided by Erick Godsey, you’ll enter a deeper relationship with the dreaming intelligence within you — exploring dreams not as puzzles to be solved, but as living expressions of the psyche.
Together, we’ll explore:
dreams as teachers — learning to listen before rushing to interpretation
myth & archetype — recognizing the ancient stories and patterns moving through your own life
shadow & the unconscious — bringing awareness to what lives beneath the surface
dream symbols & synchronicity — developing a more intimate language with your inner world
Dharma & soul-led living — exploring what your dreams may be revealing about the life you are being called to live
Through daily dream-sharing, inquiry, and practices, you’ll begin to cultivate a living relationship with your dreams — allowing what emerges in the night to become part of the conversation you are having with yourself, the medicine, and your life.
Embodiment & Integration
Dream Walkers is more than a retreat center and more than a container for ceremony. We believe that what emerges through medicine, dreams, and deep inner work needs a pathway into the body and into everyday life.
Throughout the retreat, you’ll be guided through:
Somatic & embodiment practices to bring awareness into the body
Breathwork to work with sensation, emotion, and energy
Movement & embodied inquiry to give expression to what is emerging
Shamanic practices rooted in relationship with the body, psyche, and natural world
Integration practices that help translate insight into embodied change
Post-retreat integration calls to continue exploring and living what has emerged long after you return home
Community & Continued Connection
The journey doesn’t end when you leave Costa Rica. You’ll have access to a private community of like-minded dreamers, seekers, and practitioners — a space to share dreams, insights, questions, and what continues to unfold as you bring the work home.
Private Dream Walkers community
Ongoing connection with your retreat cohort
Space to share dreams, reflections & questions
Continued support and conversation after the retreat

Erick Godsey
Erick Godsey is a writer, podcaster, and teacher. As a former founder of Fit For Service, he has been called a cult leader and he agrees. He has gone on to start a new cult called the 'Dharma Artist Collective' where he helps artists and entrepreneurs reclaim their focus from the infinite digital casino in our pockets.
At the heart of his work is the question of how we become conscious participants in the story of our own lives. Drawing from Jungian psychology, mythology, dreamwork, and Dharma, Erick teaches people to develop a relationship with the deeper intelligence of the psyche — learning to listen to dreams, recognize the myths shaping their lives, and use those insights to create with greater intention. His work sits at the intersection of psychology, spirituality, creativity, and the ancient human practice of making meaning from the stories we live.
He has taught thousands of students over the last decade, specializing in Jungian psychology, dreamwork, and how to live a soul-led life in a collapsing culture. He doesn't respond to emails but he writes semi-regularly on Substack and Instagram @erickgodsey.
He is the host of The Myths That Make Us podcast and author of The Art of Dharma. He lives in Austin, Texas with his wife Caitlyn and their two huge cats, Arcana and Astraeus.
Francesca Barone
Francesca is a practitioner of ancestral and integrative healing, a trauma-informed somatic guide, and co-founder of Anam Cara Healing Retreats, where she has devoted the past 7 years to walking in deep relationship with Shipibo healers and plant-medicine traditions.
Her own path into this work began unexpectedly through dreams. In 2018, Francesca joined a dream interpretation course with Erick Godsey. What began as an exploration of her own inner world became a profound turning point in her life, ultimately leading her to her first Ayahuasca ceremonies, her relationship with the Shipibo tradition, and eventually Anam Cara.
That experience fundamentally shaped the way she understands healing, not as something we need to find outside ourselves, but as a process of learning to listen to the deeper intelligence moving through the body, psyche, dreams, and spirit.
For the past decade, Francesca has guided hundreds of people through immersive experiences of ceremony, somatic healing, emotional inquiry, and spiritual transformation. Her work is devoted to creating spaces where people can slow down, listen inward, and discover what their own inner world is asking them to see.
Dream Walkers marks the first time Francesca and Erick have brought their work together in person. Nearly a decade after a dreamwork course with Erick helped set her life on an entirely new trajectory, returning to this work together feels like a profound full-circle moment — and an invitation to share the very doorway that once opened for her.
Maestro Teo Ochavano Lopez
& Maestra Marina Sinti Reategui
Maestro Teobaldo began his training in medicine at the age of 13, learning from his uncles in the Shipibo community of Nuevo Zealand along the banks of the Ucayali River in the Peruvian Amazon. He was eager to learn to sing icaros, and his uncles taught him the process of dieting plants to understand the medicine that could help heal people in his community. Over the years, he assisted those around him, gradually forging connections with individuals from abroad, which allowed the message of his medicine and lineage to spread far and wide. To this day, Maestro Teo remains a world-renowned healer throughout the Amazon Basin and is celebrated for his incredibly joyful heart, humor, and devotion to preserving the wisdom of the Shipibo-Konibo lineage.
Maestra Marina first encountered the medicine when she was 24 years old, introduced to it by her husband Maestro Teobaldo. Although she was new to the teachings, the medicine was not entirely foreign to her, as she comes from a highly respected family of curanderos herself also. Marina grew up at the feet of her mother and grandmother who were incredible herbalists and plant-healers in their community.
Today, they travel together to various parts of the world, including Europe and the Americas, sharing their medicine and healing arts. Their son, Maestro Pio Teo Ochavano, began learning the medicine at the early age of 11 with his maternal grandfather, with whom he shares the same name. As his grandfather grew older, it was decided that Pio Teo would succeed him in the lineage of medicine. This beautiful family embodies the wisdom and teachings of their practice, radiating joy, positivity, courage, and strength. They serve as a profound inspiration in the realm of Ayahuasca curanderismo.
What if Jung did this work?
Each day of the retreat we will sit in a dream circle and share our dream images. We will learn how to bloom dreams instead of killing them with dream dictionary interpretations.
The style of dreamwork I practice has complimented my Ayahuasca sits.
My intuition is that the magic of daily dream stoking paired with aya drinking will be unlike anything any of us have experienced yet. If you want to join the experiment with me, we're dreamwalking with aya December 1-8th.
