At Anam Cara, every retreat is curated with the utmost integrity and deep respect for the Shipibo curanderos (traditional medicine practitioners) and the indigenous plant medicine they steward.

We are honored to work in close, life-long friendship with 3 families of Shipibo healers who truly are family to us - relationships built on deep trust, reciprocity, and love. These maestras and maestros are among the most highly-experienced and respected lineages of the Amazon Rainforest, and their presence and ancestral wisdom is at the heart of all we do.

Sample retreat Program

Get a glimpse into the rhythm of retreat life, with the ceremonies as the sacred centerpiece of the healing journey. Woven around them are daily practices, workshops, and integrative modalities such as breathwork, embodiment practice, mindful movement, sharing circles, and more. Each day and activity designed to support us in releasing blockages and limiting beliefs, awakening our fullest expression, and anchoring the medicine into lived practical experience. Every retreat is alive and responsive, adapting in real time to the needs of the group.

Booking Policies

REGISTRATION

By clicking the links above to register and book your retreat space, you will be redirected to our secure booking platform, hosted by Retreat Guru. As part of the registration process, you will be required to complete a detailed medical history and personal questionnaire, which is a necessary step for participation.

To ensure the safety and well-being of yourself, fellow participants, and team, we kindly ask that you provide honest, detailed, and thorough responses. The screening process is a critical step, please don’t skip any details.

Working with Ayahuasca requires careful preparation and consideration of your physical, mental, and emotional well-being, as certain medical conditions or medications may present contraindications. By providing accurate and complete responses, you help us create a safe retreat environment for everyone.

Payment POLICY

Upon submitting your application, you will be directed to a payment page to place a $2,000 USD non-refundable deposit to secure your retreat space. The remaining balance will be due on Day 1 of the retreat, payable in cash (USD) upon arrival. Applications are reviewed within 2–5 business days, and when accepted, you will receive an approval email along with our travel and preparation guide.

If, after reviewing your medical application, we determine that it is unsafe for you to work with Ayahuasca, your application will be declined, and your deposit will be fully refunded. For all other circumstances, retreat deposits are non-refundable and non-transferable. Additionally, if you fail to attend the retreat, the remaining balance will be charged to your credit card on file.
